Over the years, she has established herself as an experienced legal expert across a broad variety of immigration cases, ranging from family-based petitions (I-130, I-730, and K visas), employment-based petitions (EB-1/2/3/5, PERM, H-1B, L-1, O-1, E-2, and P-3), and naturalization/citizenship, to humanitarian applications, and removal defense. Thanks to her unparalleled expertise, preparedness, and dedication, Sarah maintains a strong track record of success, even when the policy climate is the least favorable. Sarah has served a diversity of clients. Her corporate clients span from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses, involving industries such as telecommunications, information technologies, financial services, real estate, construction/remodeling, logistics, and international trade. The individual clients encompass accomplished professors/researchers, lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, investors, artists, and athletes. Sarah has also devoted significant efforts to pro bono legal services to help fulfill the immigration needs of underprivileged people. Prior to private practice, Sarah had proudly served in public and non-profit sectors. Most notably, as a senior legal aid in a State Senator's office, she offered key legislative support and case assistance on constituents’ legal requests. In a prominent women's leadership organization, she played an instrumental role in organizing a keynote speech by Ms. Madeleine Albright, the first female Secretary of State in US history. Sarah also provided generous and valuable legal assistance to refugees through a time-honored non-profit organization in cooperation with the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Sarah is licensed in the States of New York and Wisconsin, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She also serves as an of counsel in CELEBLAWS, P.A., and Grandall Law Firm (a leading law firm in China), as well as a mentor for the University of Florida Law School students. Sarah holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, an MA from the University of Birmingham, and a BA from Beijing International Studies University.
LINDA M. KAPLAN, Esq.
Of Counsel
As an Of Counsel, Linda brings a wealth of experience and a unique skill set to our immigration law practice. Linda began her career with a solid foundation of multidisciplinary, elite academic training. She obtains a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida, earned a J.D. from the University of Florida School of Law, and attained an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University—the nation’s top tax law program. Her early career as a corporate officer at Southeast First National Bank of Miami gave her deep expertise in corporate financial planning and management accounting, skills she now leverages in complex immigration cases. Since 1977, Linda has focused exclusively on immigration and nationality law, handling both family-based and business immigration matters. Her extensive background in business, tax, and finance allows her to expertly analyze business plans, financial statements, and tax returns—crucial for business immigration petitions and complicated affidavit of support issues in family cases. This rare combination of legal and financial acumen makes Linda especially effective in cases where business and immigration intersect. Linda is also a respected educator and thought leader, having taught business law at the University of Miami and presented Florida Bar-approved immigration law seminars to fellow attorneys. Her published work includes articles on U.S. income taxation of foreign persons and international business opportunities, reflecting her deep knowledge of the field. On a personal level, Linda’s own family history as the descendant of immigrants, and her upbringing in a military family that lived in Japan and Germany, give her a genuine understanding of the immigrant experience. She is proud of her multicultural family and values the global perspective she brings to her practice. Clients working with Linda benefit from her strategic insight, professionalism, and sincere dedication to their success. Whether your needs are family-based or business-related, Linda is ready to guide you through the complexities of U.S. immigration law with clarity and care.
